DESCRIPTION :
Waxes are low melting inert products usually snow white in colour. These could be of natural origin e.g. bees wax or synthetics e.g. polypropylene wax etc. Then there are paraffin waxes- a bye-product of base oil manufactured from petroleum crude or microcrystalline waxes which are removed from base oils for lowering their pour point.
APPLICATION :
Used as additives to improve the melting point of formulations. Have excellent water proofing properties, provide film strength capability, lubricity and wear protection. Used with profit in anti-sound special purpose greases together with MoS2 where water washing resistance is desired. It can also be useful for paints and pigments.
